Commentary
I am asked again and again for explanations to my pictures. Therefore I decided, to add words to my pictures. "The art of seeing opens for the senses the entrance to experiencing" (J. Anbau). Being
able of seeing is art - ability, exercise and an affair of heart. I see
a "model" a human, before me, I see first his surface, I make myself
fluently an image, a sketch, volatile an impression, draw connections
with my experiences. I must separate however first again from this
close picture to become free by own thoughts, in order not only to
project own imaginations into the others inside, and more deeply
"in-slip" into my opposite, for example by the gate of his eyes to step
up to his soul without becoming however indiscrete, too close with him
without hurting or to want relentlessly to uncover him. I become
acquainted with it better, his nature. That can be done only, if I
regard him with love. A completely different picture of him develops.
Anatomically it resembles often hardly with him or her, however
expresses much more. I added words to the pictures, not explanations,
it are thoughts, which can resume.
