Siegrid Grunack
 Siegrid
Grunack was born in 1937 in Berlin. She began already very early with
drawing and painting. Like that she was from 1949 to 1953 pupil by
Rechenbach for act and landscape painting, with Woehlike for Portrait
and with Mrs. Professor Feistmantel for theory of colours. With 19
years she became member of the "Kreuzberger picture market", to
whom she remained faithful for 10 and a whose chairman she became
1970. Starting from 1972 she got member of the "Working group of Berlin
architecture painter" and participated actively in numerous exhibitions
of this working group. 1987 she took over the responsability of the
painting groups or the "German Red Cross". In addition shi is member in
the "Berlin artist federation", in the association "Educating artists
of Steglitz" and in the "Tempelhofer art and culture association". She
is especially well known because of her realistic Berlin city views in
oil on canvas, which reminds because of their romantic style of Caspar
David Friedrich.
